Lucky Rabbit new and improved!!

The digital sign is turned off, and there are rent signs on McGalliard Road waving goodbye to the half of the building we no longer occupy. We all have to make hard decisions sometime about what is really important in life. Downsizing was the result of one of those hard decisions. We liked the size of the larger studio, but did it suit our need? Did it increase our quality of life? Was it meaningful?
James C. Collins in his book Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap … And Others Don’t wrote ““When [what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine] come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”
That statement was profound and I allowed it to make an improvement in my life. We have something worth protecting here. We have a positive environment and want to nourish that culture here. Was bigger the answer?
The people I work for and with, mean a lot to me. I care about everyone’s wellbeing at the end of the day. I found that supporting my team and offering them a chance to fulfill their heart’s desire here at our studio is very meaningful to me. I’m thankful to be able to provide them the opportunity to live a good and meaningful life for themselves. Josh and Adam love their job and treating people with kindness. Everyone here truly enjoys helping others and doing our daily best. I share life with my guys and their sense of well-being matters to me.
Since moving over to the smaller side I feel more connected, and honestly…the music is better on this half of the studio! Lol. Songs from Muse, Incubus, and Soundgarden get my feet going and the smiles I get to see on our customers’ faces are apparent through the doorway of my newly appointed “corner office”. (Which just so happens to be my original room).
Since the change, I feel like we are operating at our pinnacle since the beginning of 2018. It’s easy and an easy-going pace. Adam’s wife Chrissy has come along helping us run the studio on the weekend. Her great sense of humor and good attitude give us something else we didn’t know we needed. Her ability to tie everything together makes a definite impact on all of us! She handles 95% of our emails through the week, some office details and most of the scheduling. She makes our lives very easy. New stencil printers work well with our updated programs which make draw time almost non-existent for about 1/2 of my appointments!
You might notice, new couches! Yes, the red one is gone. We shed a tear as it left, and we made room for 2 larger couches and some leather bench seating. We feel better suited to handle traffic and give everyone a comfortable place to wait. We also purchased a new TV to use as an indoor message center and display our portfolios, news and upcoming sales! We saved space, cut the bull, and love the new merchandise expansion! All these changes are new!
Lastly, check out our new merchandise display! It rocks and is breaking ground for our new merch. The latest expansion was the 20oz Lucky Rabbit Logo Tumblers, along with new Lucky Rabbit logo stylus pens! We invite you to stop by and see what’s new and improved!
Life is good at Lucky Rabbit, and we have been settling into a deep sense of joy and satisfaction. Josh just got back from over a week off on vacation. Adam and Chrissy have really stepped up and me…I’m satisfied. Mission accomplished. I’m ready to settle in and continue loving this life I’m so thankful to be a part of. All of us are truly thankful for the move and the studio’s upgrades during this time. Thanks for being patient with us through the move and seeing us grow into a better company!
